Case Study 2: Harrowden Road

What We Did

A young budding entrepreneur and his partner a building contractor, acquired this site occupied on a corner plot with a detached chalet style house.  The site had a chequered history of planning applications for new build flats, houses, with several refusals, appeals and even a couple of planning approvals.  However the planning consents had not optimized the use of the site, and there was clearly scope for redevelopment.

Work began in early 2016 on draft proposals, which were submitted to the council for a Pre-Application consultation and subsequent meetings with a senior planning officer.  Considerably amendments, negotiations on designs and layouts later a planning application was submitted, which was granted with a number of Conditions.   The final scheme approved was for a 3 storey block of 6 apartments, and a pair of semi-detached houses to the rear of the site. 

KDB were engaged with a fully comprehensive brief as the clients Project Managers and will assist the young developers through to completion.
